The gun fighter

Cross genre - comedy/western

linear narrative

narrators voice - non diegetic / not directly in the film

Conventions of western- Pistols , cowboy hats , conflict between characters.

Understanding the genre is a main concept - genre unconvential - means it doesn't make sense . Audience cannot follow

The narrative is predictable

As soon as conflict starts the audience knows how the film is going to end.

High key lighting on character that is talking/ in the spotlight

narrator drives the narrative

Conflict has to be resolved otherwise it is not classed as a western film.
